Camp Out at 2 Months

Anyone still reading? I'm pretty much a scrapbook blogger regular.  Sorry about that or not if you're still reading I guess.  I really like photos and it's what I do to keep our lives somewhat documented. However, I need to remember blogging isn't Instagram. ;) Thank goodness for lag time.

Speaking of time, I don't always take the time to expound my thoughts and feelings, but I feel I should after this event.  We packed up the boys (2 month old Bridger even made the cut) and drove up north to camp with friends.  And not just any friends, but those kind of friends that are the family you choose.  I love those kind! Sometimes I feel we didn't even choose it this way though, the Lord did.

Perhaps you already know... I'm referring to the Farnsworth Roberts Sorensen clan.  Most people who have met us in the last 3.5 years know and clump the whole group of us together.  Friends established in the summer of 2010, where USUHS, our Military Medical School experience brought us together. Crazy to think we started with 3 kids and will expand to 8 before graduation!  It's hard to say that word graduation because it will be what separates us.  Or I guess I should say the military... or our specialties?  Well...whatever we blame it on, it's going to happen.  Hard to believe.  We all find out where we'll be stationed for residency this time next month.  Can't help but feel so incredibly blessed and grateful the Lord saw fit to bring us together!
Boys around the campfire.  We camped at Enchanted Rock just outside of Fredericksburg, TX.
The troops!  Minus the littlest ones. The kids loved the playground that was just above our campground!
Bridger was kept real snug and warm while we camped.  I didn't want him getting cold.
We loved the nice kid friendly Summit Trail hike.
Cutting up and trying some prickly pear
Kids got some great treats at the top!
Gotta love Grayson's family photo faces ;)
Me, Bridger and Tolman
So glad I captured Strider and Grayson teasing around.
Lets not forget to show this little 2 month old, who is still full of smiles.  He was 12 pounds at his 2 month doctor visit and in the upper 50th percentiles.

Fall Fun

Happy Fall!  We got into the season by taking the boys to a pumpkin patch.  We went with friends and had a fun time!
 Pumpkins picked for painting!
Tolman liked riding their hay tractor and Grayson liked the maze.
Pony rides with Hallee & Mckenna
That night we had FHE at the Willardson's. Strider and Grayson carved our pumpkin into a skull.
Our's is the far left, black cat (Sorensen), Ghost (Willardson) and  Monster Mike (Roberts)
Here are a few pictures of Bridger in his fall gear.  Here in San Antonio you can wear shorts one day and be bundled and beanied the next. ;)
Bridger still has his fussy times, but somehow the boys don't mind.  However, Bridger's crying does bother Tolman in the car.  He always says, "Get me out of here.  I can't take that noise!"

Bridger's First Month in a Half

The blog absence has been because of this little one...
We love sure love little Bridger!  He is growing up so fast. My friend Jenny Willardson took these newborn photos when he was just a few days old.
His first month flew by and we adored him at home. I got a little stir crazy, but other than that we did alright ;)  Grayson and Tolman loved to look at him and hold him.  They were very soft and did well with the transition of adding baby #3.  The only changes I noticed was G&T needed a little more attention or activities to do on their own.  Thankfully we had family around and toys from grandparents.  I also stocked up on some coloring supplies.  Strider had 2 weeks off which was a wonderful blessing as well.
Captions (left-right) Slick Tolman, Bridger on Blessing Day, Grayson on National Talk like a Pirate Day (got us a free dozen donuts at Krispy Kreme), Silly Grayson (his usual photo face these days) and Mom, Bunk Bed Brothers (Strider finally had time to assemble them) and Bridger all bundled up!
Bridger's Blessing day September 22, 2013
He was so sweet and his blessing inspirational.  He has a great service to do!
We had a lot of visitors around the time of his blessing- Hinton and Pittam Grandparents.  We had trips to Seaworld and some very spoiled boys.  We are so blessed.  Not too mention my house hasn't quite looked the same since the grandma's left ;)
We finally gave Bridger his first bath!  He loves them.
My dear friends Erin and Lauren held a celebration for me and Bridger. It was so fun!! My ward friends sure made me and baby 3 feel great.  Diapers, baby supplies and freezer meals were a huge blessing, especially since Strider left in October to DC for a few weeks.
While Strider was gone we had 2 additional trips to Seaworld with the Travis Hinton's and Jacob and Grandma Hinton. Yes, the boys went to Seaworld 4 times in 3 weeks!
We loved having our first cousin visitors since we've started Med School- Raylee, Tytan and Hauxton!
Bridger has been fussy and still has his bouts in the evenings and sometimes near feedings, but we absolutely enjoy that he is smiling now!!  After he is fed, he will look at us in the face and give us the biggest smiles and coos.

A Cleaner, Athlete and One Week Old

Tolman has been the sole reason our house has stayed together since Bridger arrived.  He is such a little helper and loves to clean with me (or get me to these days).  He tried vacuuming for the first time yesterday... and liked it!

Grayson recently started soccer and had his first game last Saturday.

Here are his coaches and team.  They're called the Mustangs.
Some of his fans.

Grayson in action at his first game.  He was hilarious!  He growled, charged and loved playing.  He even scored a goal.
Bridger is more alert these days.  The boys love it when he opens his eyes.
The boys "playing" with their little brother however they can.
I still can't believe Bridger is over a week old.  Time is going by too fast!
He has been such a wonderful baby.  We are trying to cherish each moment.
I especially love this picture below when Grayson decided he needed to give Bridger a "check up".
