Gabbi! And Grayson with Batman friends Aiden and Cammon.
I want to express some of my feelings about the move. It was HARD. I don't know if it was good or bad that I didn't have many moments to myself before we left. I went through a brutal inward struggle about leaving a place where I was so comfortable. I miss living in DC and all that came with it. Also, I thought I was prepared to move! Without the help of family and great friends our move would not have been possible. Looking back it was such a stressful and chaotic time. Strider took Step 1 (an important test over his Med School years) 3 days before we left. Tolman got his cast off that same day/Thursday. We packed, loaded and cleaned Friday and Saturday (crazy!) The boys and I flew with my parents Sunday to Arizona while Strider and his mom drove our 26ft Uhaul to Texas. We were the recipients of much service and blessings. We are incredibly grateful!
My dad with Tolman and then at the dr's before getting his cast removed.
First day without a cast. Boys in the moving truck.
Next stop: ARIZONA! Strider flew in Thursday after unloading our stuff into a storage unit and signing our lease in Texas. That Saturday my brother Kevin married Taylor in the Mesa Temple. It was a wonderful wedding. It was great to have all my family together.
Our family at the reception.
Grayson put on his dancing shoes that night! He loved dancing with his cousin Raylee. And Tolman loved running around!
While in Arizona we met up with Strider's dad and took family pictures. (We apparently can't have enough of those this year... Usually it's a struggle for us to get just one in a year!)
We went swimming lots in my parents pool. Tolman was armed with floaties and 2 squirt guns.
Grandma Hinton spoiled the little pirates!
Tytran and Grayson were funny together! Grayson also got introduced to Star Wars.
We met up with Strider's family. Here are some of the cousins enjoying pool time and otter pops.
We met Mindy, Meili & Cherish at the Arizona Grand Resort. We had a fun time! I also got my first massage. It was amazing.
We ate at Rustler's Rooste. Fred and Strider pigged out :)
The kids enjoyed themselves too! They had an indoor slide and a live band for dancing. We loved our time in Arizona... it's never long enough! We were glad to meet up with lots of family.
