PreK, Boards, Superheroes and a Baby

Yesterday Grayson started Pre-K and loved it.  He learned about math he said... shapes, colors and numbers 1-10.  This kid loves to learn and had fun listening to his teacher and meeting the other students.
This is his "after" picture.  He was really happy because his teacher gave him a calendar and he had to show me!  That calendar marks off Monday August 26th, which was pretty significant!  Strider was busy all day taking a 9 hour long medical board exam called Step 2.  We are so proud of him for his hard work and dedication... Not to mention we can now focus on having a baby since that's over!!
The boys have been to some fun birthday parties lately.  They especially loved our neighbor Levi's superhero swimming party.  Grayson was Wolverine and Tolman was Batman as they patrolled the pool in their masks and capes.
The boys and I also took a trip to our nearby Children's museum. They had a blast exploring and Tolman enjoyed being a construction worker at their life-size tinker toy building exhibit.
One morning Grayson got dressed quickly and I found him downstairs reading his library books.  What a bookworm!
Oh and as for the baby update... I am scheduled to be induced this Thursday (if I don't go on my own before then).  We can't wait!!!

Anxiously Awaiting...

Not too much of an update besides getting ready for baby #3!  The boys are so excited and helped set up the bassinet today.  They even filled it with our baby toys for him.  I have been very anxious and ready for this little one to come.  Strider takes his board exam (Step 2) next Monday and Grayson starts PreK that day, so after that I sure hope he comes ;)  38 weeks this Thursday.

End of Summer

After the Hinton Reunion we met up with Strider in Las Vegas.  He was interviewing for Family Medicine at Nellis AFB. While there we met up with some friends as well as residents from the Family Medicine program.  Here are a few pictures of when we went downtown.  The strip is not the best place for a 30+ week pregnant lady!  It was hot and I was a wimp with all the walking.  I guess that's how I knew I was finished with all our summer traveling... We had a great time together and after a few days the boys and I flew home to San Antonio.  Strider still had 2.5 weeks left.
Thankfully when we got back we had some visitors in San Antonio.  My Aunt Leslie and Uncle Jim were helping my cousin Jared, his wife Anepo  and daughter Sonora move to the area.
The boys love playing with Sonora!
We joined them downtown to venture the Alamo and Riverwalk.  We are so happy they will be living close by!
Here are before and after pictures of Grayson at his first art class.  I signed him up because he had been wanting to try one. He loved it and did really well!  I am hoping he and I can do more projects at home. :)  We are glad to be back home and Strider just got back this weekend!  He is now starting an ENT rotation here in San Antonio.  Meanwhile the boys and I are trying to stay busy until little brother arrives in a month!
