Christmas

Milk, cookies and a letter for Santa.
 Presents from Grandparents.
Santa came early in San Antonio.
He knew we were traveling to Arizona to visit family over the holidays...
Flight to AZ on Christmas Eve.  Tolman's last free round trip!
We went to the Arrington Christmas Eve party. A winter candyland theme had the boys happy all night!  Grayson was the star and Tolman a cow/shepard in the nativity (both on far left).
The boys were thrilled for some cousin time! We were able to see the Mesa Temple lights.
Santa Photos. Strider was a little rough!

We stayed at Grandpa Harold's and were able to spend some time with the kids.  Dallin leaves on his mission soon and Karisa got engaged while we were there.
We had such a fun time visiting our Arizona family. Unfortunately, I missed out on some of the fun because I got the flu! Other than the day I spent in bed, the trip was very enjoyable and we had an amazing holiday season.

December with Dad

Lots of tools, projects, and little helpers with daddy home.
Wouldn't be normal without a few bonks! Tolman got a gash above his eye while he was on our couch and hit a nearby half wall.  He was so tough and kept saying "hospital hospital" like we should go.  Grayson would run away from him because of the blood. I, on the other hand, am still trying to get use to my accident prone boys. Strider assured me he would be fine, which he is thankfully.
An early Christmas present came.... we bought a van!  The boys love it.  I still can't believe it's our's.  We initially were going to get another commuter car, but found this van in the same price range.
We took a trip to an amazing children's museum with some friends.  The boys were in imagination heaven.  They were musicians, astronauts, engineers, bats, campers, shoppers, ATM users, etc...  We will have to go again.
While Strider's been working on projects, he found time to construct some wooden guns for the boys.  They love them and had a great time painting them.
They are gearing up for Christmas with new jammies and reindeer antlers.  Thank you Grandma!

What we're loving...

Sleeping with as many stuffed animals as possible...

Playing with friends...

Blow flowers!
Playing with brother
 And batman... of course!
Eating cream of wheat in the morning... or bowls and bowls of cereal.
And of course Christmas...
Nutcrackers are really fascinating to them. Grandma must have been inspired and got them this Air Force one!
Christmas projects too...  They went to Lowes and made gingerbread houses and Home Depot for holiday frames.  They also brought the Christmas spirit to this single mother home.  Strider gets back Friday, but until then they helped me with the tree, lights, ornaments, etc... They are great helpers!

No Post November

Since the month is over, I thought I should add a recap. It's been a crazy month with Strider commuting to Fort Hood and just coming home on weekends. Strider likes Family Medicine though. I stayed busy doing the single mom thing. We celebrated mine and Grayson's birthdays and had my parents join us for Thanksgiving. So grateful for my family and many blessings!

Walked to our nearby park.
Drums, bells, and storytime at the library, swinging outside and making a turkey napkin holder for Thanksgiving.
Being stylish with mom's blow dryer and their hats!  They also found my old PE teaching whistles.

The happiest 4 year old! New bike, Red Robin,Waffles and Ice Cream, 3D Movie.... and a Batman Party!
Alamo and eating on the Riverwalk with Grandma.
Alamo audio tour and cannons.
Playing and riding bikes out front. Silly faces at Ft Hood's outdoor military museum.
Brothers! Woke up and thought they should be Buzz's. Home Depot craft time making holiday frames!
