Final Decision

This is late in posting, but I thought I'd give the update anyhow... We are officially headed to medical school in August! You might remember a while back that Strider was accepted to a school called USUHS (Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences). USUHS is a military medical school located in Bethesda, Maryland near the DC area. We fly to DC in June to look for housing. Strider will join the Air Force and will attend his officer training in July in Alabama.

This will certainly be a unique experience. It's different than what I initially envisioned, but we both feel without a doubt that USUHS is where we need to be. Instead of acquiring a lot of financial debt we will have a long time commitment to fulfill instead. The military will pay for Strider's schooling as well as a yearly stipend. However, after his schooling and residency are over we will owe 7 years to the military. I think this is the part that makes me most nervous. Although, we have heard that the Air Force is the most family friendly branch of the military. Regardless of what the future holds, we look forward with faith and excitement for what lies ahead!

Morning Walk

Grayson and his cousin Graham went for a morning walk this past weekend with me. They were so cute together in the stroller. Grayson kept giving Graham hugs, pulling at his binky and saying "baby baby". Luckily, Graham didn't mind. They are 8 months apart and play so well together.

Boys Will Be Boys

Last week we had all the Hinton Boy cousins in one state!
Sad to say, but all of the cousins will soon be separated by several miles. Grandma decided the occasion called for cousin pictures...
Jared, Tytan, Nathan, Devin, Grayson & Benjamin

They're so cute together!!

And mischievous!!

Nathan taking care of the little ones!

Capture a picture of us while you can!

So Serious.

We're gonna miss this.

Zoo Part 2

Last week Grayson and I went to the Zoo again!
We had such a blast with my family as we saw and did even more.

Monkey Village- Still a Grayson Favorite!

Grayson had fun crawling on this guy near the Kumodo Dragon display.

Rhinoceros

We had a great time feeding the Giraffes!
Grayson didn't know what to think of being that close to them.

Lots of looking and stroller time.

Spring Time

Happy Easter!

This is Grayson hunting for eggs
at the Arrington Easter party.

Grayson didn't care how many eggs or what candy he got.
He was just fascinated by the opening of the egg!

This must be Grayson telling us,
"No time for pictures... lets find those eggs!"

Before the hunt Grayson found this cute tricycle to climb on!

Climbing the slide was also a must. (This climbing stage is crazy!!)

I couldn't resist posting this funny face.
He sure makes life exciting. We had a fun Easter.

Locked In Photo Session

The other day Grayson was needed as a model for my
friend's photography business. URBAN LIFE PHOTOGRAPHY
She did an amazing job with him. Check out her work...

A boy of so many different faces!

Grayson loves these cozy coupe cars right now!

Mr. Independent loves to swing on his own too!

Still don't quite know what caught his attention in this picture?

Trips to the park happen almost daily here in AZ...
this was the perfect place for a toddler shoot!

Hanging on for dear life...
What a goofball!

Grayson loves when we sing "If You're Happy and You Know It"
This part he's saying "Then Your Face will Really Show It!"

Momma sure loves her little boy...

Last, but not least:On a more serious note--
After the shoot I had a completely stupid mom moment.
I left Grayson in the real car with my keys...

And a special thanks goes out to--
my friend and her phone,
the housing office for a spare key to our house,
Grayson for being so patient while honking and pushing buttons
(of course not the unlock button though)
and our corolla spare key...
Grayson eventually made it out safe and sound! :)
